Where We’ll Be Next
We’ll be running the Spirit of the Valley 5K in honor of Kathy, with the goal of raising money for Hilltop’s Latimer House and awareness about domestic violence.
Latimer House helps people who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault move from crisis to confidence. Serving Mesa, Montrose, Delta, and Ouray counties, it provides emergency safe housing, advocacy, and 24-hour crisis support to survivors throughout Western Colorado.
We’re asking our community to help bring local media to the event so we can share Kathy’s story, bring attention to how the systems meant to recognize and respond to domestic violence failed her, and raise awareness about the urgent need to better protect victims.
